Quantum simulation with ultracold mixture of Lithium and potassium atoms

Introduction

With highly controllable experimental parameters, ultracold mixture of quantum gas has been an ideal platform for studying few- and many-body quantum phenomena such as condensed matter physics, nuclear physics and astrophysics. After several years of efforts and technology innovations, we have built a state-of-the-art experiment system on the ultracold mixture of lithium and potassium atoms. Different mixture systems such as Li6-K41 Bose-Fermi mixture and Li6-K41 Fermi-Fermi mixture can be investigated. In our current Li6-K41 Bose-Fermi system, we have realized double superfluid of fermionic Li6 and bosonic K41 atoms for the first time. Many static and dynamic properties of this Bose-Fermi superfluid such as collective excitation, dynamics of vortex, and equation of state can be further explored.
